The Section of Infectious Diseases Syndemics Lab at Boston Medical Center is recruiting a talented faculty investigator to join our team and launch their own research career. The Syndemics Lab focuses on producing the evidence base needed to develop new policies, interventions, and approaches to mitigating the harms of the syndemic (synergistic epidemics) of Hepatitis C, HIV, bacterial infections, and substance use disorder. We seek an MD Infectious Diseases (Board certified or eligible) or PhD researcher whose work focuses on infectious complications of substance use disorders. The successful applicant will join our lab full time and will develop an independent research career.

Research Data Analyst

The Section of Infectious Diseases Syndemics Lab at Boston Medical Center is recruiting a Research Data Analyst who will help design, build, test and run mathematical models for the evaluation of infectious disease public policy. Responsibilities span the entirety of the research process and include literature review, model development, parameter estimation, data manipulation, analysis and interpretation of results, manuscript preparation and presentation and dissemination of results. Work is centered on using microsimulation and cost-effectiveness methods to perform economic evaluation of public health guidelines and policies.
